As you may know, Korean inseis are very strong and there are lots of 1-2 dan professionals in Korea, who start to fight for big titles just after few months of becoming pro. The main problem is that the door is too narrow and I saw lot of unhappy former inseis (nobody is allowed to stay in Insei League after becoming 18 years old), who was not able to become pro and also was not able to find a good job, because they studied only Go for lot of years straight – 10 hours every day!

I know that there are lots of US and European amateurs who want to become professionals in Korea or Japan. Some of them already missed this chance because of age limits they have in Asian Insei Leagues. Others are not sure - do they have enough talent or not. Till now the only way to check it was to stop everything and fly to Asia. And after few months or years you can find your chances.

Now there is the second option! You can take part in our project called "Korean-style Insei League on DGS". It's the full copy of the League they have in Korean Baduk Association and also it has some additional features, which I met in Korean schools when I was an insei myself in South Korea between 1997-2002.

In our DGS Insei League for only $95 per season (3 months) you get 4 teaching games, one detail review and can watch 60+ audio lectures by best Korean professionals and top amateurs (on KGS server). You can check your chances by playing other inseis of the Korean-style League (most of them also wants to become professionals) and see how big is your talent in Go.

If you feel, that you are the strongest in our League, and you can prove it by your results, we advice you to think seriously about the career of Go professional! Maybe you have enough talent to fight for big titles in near future

Our project started in January 2010 from the Insei League on KGS. If you prefer to play your games on KGS, you may consider joining it at http://insei-league.com. Our KGS league is even more useful for improving your Go skills: you play more games and get more reviews.

I understand that not all of you have time to play Go every day, so busy people usually choose turn-based servers such as DGS or OGS. We started our DGS league especially because of such players.

Rules:

Duration: 3 months (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring)
4 inseis per group plus 2 teachers (Alexandr Dinerchtein and Natalya Kovaleva),
2 games between each insei,
2 games with the each teacher.
10 games in total.


All members get the access to Insei League room on KGS - they can watch all
lectures (20+ every month) and simultaneous (60+ every month).


Winners in every group decided by the highest number of wins

Regular membership:
Each insei decides the single game he wants to review (1 review request
per person)
Entry fee - $95 in total for 3 months (4 teaching games,1 offline review, KGS room access)

All-inclusive membership:
All games you play will be reviewed.
You can use DGS notes feature while playing and ask any questions about
your games
Entry fee - $195 in total for 3 months (4 teaching games, 10 reviews, KGS room access)

Members rotation between groups:
Best insei promotes to the stronger group, lowest - to the weaker group,
and 2 person in the middle stay in the same group.

Time control: 40 days per game with Canadian byoyomi 10 moves per day, with clocks running on week-ends.
It's not allowed to stop clocks during vacations

Handicap between inseis and teachers:
A group - even game (one as W, one as B)
B - 2 stones
C - 3 stones
D - 4 stones
E - 5 stones

Japanese rules, W wins in case of jigo (0.5 komi), all games must be rated games
